Houseware products, especially those that have non-stick surfaces cannot have certain cleaners applied to them. Automatic dishwashing liquid and other similar cleaners cannot be used on non-stick surfaces. For this reason, non-stick cookware and utensils cannot be placed in the dishwasher. However, this does not mean that they can be cleaned with the first rag or scrubber that is available. A rag may have been used to clean off a counter and may have picked up hard food particles that can scratch. And, there is no need to explain what a steel wool pot scrubber will do to the non-stick coating on cookware and utensils.
Likewise, ordinary metal or stainless steel utensils will scratch the non-stick surface, causing the pot or pan to become harder to clean. Further, the tiny bits of non-stick coating can get into one's food, and could possibly cause health problems.
Other houseware products require careful storage in order to remain in peak usuable condition. Non-stick cookware cannot be stacked without paper towers or some other type of cushioning between the items; some plastic containers will become inseparable if placed one on top of the other, resulting in both pieces being damaged, and subsequently having to be thrown away. Improper storage can also lead to some types of cookware becoming rusted, or dented or pitted if it is made of a particularly soft material. This will cause the cookware to possibly become unusable, or at the very least, not perform the task for which it is intended as well.

Trimmers that have too much power will be hard to manipulate, and the well-groomed look will not be achieved. Trimmers that are not big enough or powerful enough may cause the homeowner to have to expend more effort.
